Along with tires with inner tubes, the tubeless ones are also widely available. But why will you have this kind of tire when you can make sure that air pressure is well intact inside if you have an inner tube installed? You will be surprised of the many advantages of the tubeless ones.
One of the advantages is the lower air pressure. Naturally, it goes opposite those tires with tubes that can hold a lot of air pressure. You can use lower air pressure without worrying about acquiring flats. This is a better choice for those bikers who want better traction on risky surfaces. It also gives a small amount of suspension when you are treading on rocky and bumpy places.
Pinch flats are less of a problem if you are using this tire. However, do not think that it is resistant to puncture flats as this can still happen. Some people make their own tubeless type of tire but this might make it less durable so you still have to rely on the pre-manufactured one. Once you get your hands on that tire, here is how you can inflate it:
Step 1: Mount the tire on the rim. Insert the valve stem on the hole found in the rim. This will help you inflate the tire after it has been attached to the rim.
Step 2: You can use a screwdriver or any device with a flat end to tuck the corners of the tire on the rim. It should fit perfectly if you are using the right size. Make sure all sides are properly tucked in and no parts are protruding. Otherwise, air will escape.
Step 3: Now that you have installed the tire to the rim, you can now place the whole wheel back to the bicycle. Secure the two buts located on both sides of the wheel and lock it in place using a wrench.
Step 4: Turn the wheel until it is facing the ground. Spread some liquid latex inside the tire before unscrewing the valve cap.
Step 5: Get a C02 inflator and attach it on the valve. Press the trigger of the inflator to inflate the tire. It inflates just like a balloon as you can see the edges filling out with air. Keep on doing this until your reach the desired level of tire firmness.
Step 6: Remove the inflator and put the valve cap back.
